We proudly recognize the incredible members of the Marina Fire Department.
👏 Firefighter of the Year – Engineer Sam Flores
Engineer Flores embodies what it means to serve with purpose. She consistently volunteers for projects that enhance our operational readiness—most notably taking the lead on updating and developing pre-fire plans across our city. Her initiative, organization, and unwavering commitment to firefighter safety reflect true ownership and leadership.
Beyond her work ethic, Sam brings a positive and professional attitude to every shift. Her enthusiasm is contagious, lifting crew morale and strengthening teamwork. She leads by example with humility and quiet dedication—never seeking recognition, but fully deserving of it. We are proud to honor her as our 2025 Firefighter of the Year.
