We are incredibly proud of a group of Marion Center students who participated in a “Soft Skills” Challenge today in Indiana, PA!

Not only did these students do an outstanding job demonstrating communication, teamwork, and professionalism, but they also showed something even more important—compassion and true character!

When Riley McCausland noticed a woman who had fallen in the street, she and Seth Jewart immediately rushed to assist her. The rest of the group quickly stepped in to help. Carter Knox helped her to her feet and Sabrina Larson worked with the woman to identify a family member she could contact. It was a powerful example of students putting their skills into action in a real-world moment that truly mattered.

Thank you to Riley McCausland, Seth Jewart, Sabrina Larson, Rayna Frew, Carter Knox, Trevin Buente, and Katya Miller for being outstanding students, compassionate citizens, and shining examples of kindness and integrity.

The Marion Center Area School District will be DISMISSING EARLY (January 21, 2026) due to the pending weather arriving later today. Students at WA McCreery and the High School will be dismissed at 11:30 AM and at students at Rayne Elementary School will be dismissed at 12:30 PM.
