Starting on Saturday! Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the U.S. Department of War, and typically 2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to the nation’s active duty military personnel including National Guard and Reserve and their families each summer. These include children’s museums, art museums, history and science museums, zoos, and nature centers.

North Port to host Health Care Exposition
The City of North Port’s Economic Development Division will host the North Port Health Care Exposition on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way.

This free event will connect residents with health care providers, educators and aligned organizations serving North Port and the Southwest Florida region.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about local health care services, workforce pathways, training programs and career opportunities in the health care industry.

Teaching as a Second Career Briefing
Florida Veterans to Teachers hosts teaching as a second career briefing via Zoom. These briefings will cover the procedures and requirements for entering the teaching profession in Florida and the benefits Florida offers veterans and their spouses who enter the teaching profession. If you plan to reside in another state, we may be able to assist you in entering the profession in your chosen state.

Spouses are welcome to attend.
