Snow is impacting Perry County today. The ground temperature should stay above freezing, though, which will prevent accumulation. Impacts to travel should be minimal, however you should proceed with caution as visibility is impacted and roads may be slippery.

Good morning, Perry County. I hope that everyone is well.

Today will be chilly with a high in the low 40s with precipitation ending around 1 PM. Winds are 10-20 mph with gusts near 40 mph early, then decreasing late. Tonight will be clear but cold. The low will be in the upper 20s with an active freeze warning.

The freeze warning remains in effect from Monday night at 10 PM to Tuesday morning at 10 AM. Be sure to protect people, pets, plants, and pipes. Prolonged exposure to freezing temperatures could be fatal! A wind advisory also remains in effect through 7 PM tonight. There will be sustained 15-20 mph winds with gusts up to 40 mph. Be sure to secure loose objects, and exercise caution while driving.

A wind advisory remains in effect to 1 PM Monday. A freeze warning also remains in effect from 10 PM Monday to 10 AM Tuesday. For the wind advisory, southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected. For the freeze warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 20 are expected. Please be aware of these upcoming conditions, especially the freeze warning. Prolonged exposure to freezing temperatures could be fatal.

Good evening, Perry County. I hope that everybody is enjoying their day.

There is a level 3 out of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms tonight onto early Monday morning. Threats include tornadoes, damaging winds up to 70 mph and large quarter-size hail. The threat is expected to begin at 11 PM and end around 3 AM. Tonight will also be chilly, we are expecting a low in the upper 30s. These temperatures should set in around daybreak. Monday will also be chilly with the high in the 40s with precipitation ending through the morning.

A wind advisory is in effect from 1 PM today until 1 PM tomorrow. A freeze warning is also in effect from March 16, 10 PM until March 17, 10 AM.

Tornado shelters will be open tonight due to the impending threat of inclement weather. Please have multiple ways to hear alerts, have a safe place ready, and frequently check for updates as conditions may change quickly. We will continue to provide updates, as needed. Stay safe, Perry County!

Good evening, Perry County. I hope that everyone has been doing well today.

An extreme cold warning is now in effect from midnight tonight to noon Sunday. Dangerously cold wind chills below zero are expected. A wind advisory will also be in effect from 2 AM to 9 PM Saturday. Winds of 15-25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph are expected. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Trees could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of subfreezing temperatures could cause pipes to burst.

Tonight will be cold with the low in the low 20° with winds from 15-30 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Saturday will be bitterly cold once again with the high in the low 30s. Once again, 15-30 mph winds with gusts up to 40 mph are expected.

Be sure to dress in layers and stay warm. These temperatures could be fatal, hypothermia and frostbite may occur if skin is exposed. Be sure to protect people, pets, plants, and pipes tonight. Also remember that any residual moisture on the ground may freeze and cause the formation of black ice. This could create dangerous, slick conditions. Stay warm and safe tonight, Perry County.

Good afternoon, Perry County. I hope everyone is doing well today.

Today will be cloudy with a high temperature in the lower 50s. However tonight, temperatures will drop into the low 20s. A wind advisory will be issued tonight as winds will be very gusty, possibly getting up to 35 mph. An extreme cold warning will be issued at 12 AM until 12 PM on Saturday. Wind chills will be dangerously low tonight, they may dip as low as -4°. Be sure to protect your skin, pets, plants, and pipes tonight.

Be sure to bundle up tonight as dangerously cold temperatures could be fatal. Those cold temperatures in concert with the wind could cause hypothermia or frostbite on exposed skin. Also remember that any residual moisture on the ground will freeze over tonight creating black ice. We will continue to provide updates as the day continues. Stay warm and safe today Perry County.

The Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM this morning. Temperatures will struggle to raise above the lower 40s and skies will be clear with a 5-10 mph wind. Temperatures will also remain below freezing until the mid morning (~10 AM).

Good evening, Perry County. I hope everyone has been staying warm today.

A cold weather advisory remains in effect from 9 PM tonight to 9 AM Tuesday. This includes the cities of Marion and Uniontown. Very cold temperatures as low as 8⁰ are expected. Wind chills may get as low as 5-15⁰. Be sure to protect people, pets, plants, and pipes.

Tonight will be clear with the low in the mid teens with light and variable winds. Tomorrow will be chilly with the high in the lower to mid 40s with winds from 5-10 mph.

Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of subfreezing temperatures could cause pipes to burst. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.

A lot of information in this post but it is very important. Extreme cold temperatures can be FATAL. Exercise caution when traveling tomorrow if possible. Any residual moisture on the road may freeze causing black ice and dangerously slippery conditions. Stay safe and warm, Perry County.

Good morning, Perry County.

Temperatures will be brutally cold today with the high temperature just above freezing. Conditions will be clear with about a 10 mph-15 mph wind.

Tonight, the temperature will fall to the teens, but the wind chill may dip below zero. A cold weather advisory is expected to remain in effect through the night into tomorrow morning.

Black ice may form on roadways when any residual moisture on the road freezes, so please exercise caution if you need to drive today. Freezing temperatures WILL also cause hypothermia or frostbite if skin is exposed for too long. Please dress appropriately. We will continue to provide additional updates.
