The Court was closed on that day due to snow, but these individuals have yet to contact the Marion City Court to reschedule their hearings. If you do not contact the Marion City Court at (765) 668-4425 within the next week, a WARRANT will be issued for your arrest.

IMPORTANT - Due to the weather and travel restrictions in Grant County, the Marion City Court will be CLOSED tomorrow, February 3, 2022.

If you are scheduled to appear in Court tomorrow, please make sure to call the Marion City Court on Monday, February 7 to reschedule your court date. Please call (765) 668-4425 between 8am-4pm to speak with City Court staff. Failure to make contact with the Court in a timely manner could result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Beginning in June, the Marion City Court and Marion City Probation Department will be sending all overdue fines and fees to Capital Recovery Systems, a Collections Agency, and will no longer accept payments on these amounts. Any case that is sent to collections will need to be paid through their agency, and additional fees will be added to the total, as well as the possibility of driver's license suspensions for non payment.

If you owe money to the Court and/or Probation, and have either missed your Court date or have not made payment arrangements with the Court, your case WILL be sent to collections beginning in June.

Please contact the Marion City Court at (765) 668-4425 or Marion City Probation at (765) 668-4426 as soon as possible, in order to avoid the hassle of dealing with Collections.

Due to the continued closure of City Hall due to the COVID pandemic, telephone communication with the court may be interrupted. If you need to reach the City Court staff, they will be available Mondays and Thursdays from 9-3. Please call (765) 668-4423 or (765) 668-4425 during these hours to speak with someone directly. If you have a question or issue at another time throughout the week, you may leave a voicemail, but be sure to leave your name, telephone number, and a message as to why you are calling. Please note that due to an influx of calls, it may take a few days to receive a callback. If you have an emergency, please call the Marion Police Department, but if you have a City Court matter DO NOT call the Mayor’s office or any other City Hall department, as they will be unable to assist you.

When making a payment to Marion City Court by mail, PLEASE make sure your name is written either 1) on the money order, 2) on the envelope the money order is mailed in, or 3) on a piece of paper enclosed in the envelope with the money order. And also please make sure you have written your name neatly so it can be easily read so the payment can be processed. Failure to do so makes it impossible for the Court to know which case to apply the payment to. Thank you!

Marion City Court will be open for Collection Hearings and Initial Hearings beginning today at 2:30pm. Please note that the Marion Municipal Building remains closed to the public for any business besides Court Hearings.
