Take extra precautions to beat the heat today by staying hydrated, wearing loose fitting clothing and spending time in the air conditioning or shade.

Anyone seeking a break from the heat is welcome at any of the following air-conditioned heat relief locations in Marion. Each location is available the following days and times during periods of extreme temperatures:

Marion City Hall Lobby, 1225 6th Ave. [Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–5 p.m.]
Marion Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center, 4500 N. 10th St. [Mon–Fri 9 a.m.–4 p.m.]
Marion Thomas Park Safe Room, 343 Marion Blvd. [Mon–Fri 7 a.m.–4 p.m.]
Marion Police Department Lobby, 6315 Highway 151 [Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–5 p.m.] Available 24 hours
Marion Public Library [Mon - Thurs 9 a.m.- 8 p.m., Fri - Sat 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sun 1 p.m.–5 p.m.]

We have been incredibly blessed with wonderful donations for which we are extremely grateful. At this time our children’s racks are very sparse and we would be thrilled to see more children’s clothing coming in. If you are having a garage sale and want to donate what is left in clothing, please call the First Presbyterian Church in Marion, 377-7309, and they will get a message to us. We will be happy to pick up the donations for you. Our hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. if you want to drop them off yourself. Thank you!

We are so excited to announce our FLY lunch menu for June! This menu will run from June 8th through July 3rd, with a new menu starting on July 6th!

Mon - Turkey and cheese sandwich!
Tues - Ham and cheese sandwich!
Wed - HOTDOG!
Thur - Bologna and cheese sandwich!
Fri - Peanut butter and jelly sandwich!**

Each entree comes with the following sides: crackers or chips, fruit or veggie, fruit snacks, and a bottle of water!
