We are thrilled to share another success story about a Marion CCMEP program participant, Sequoyah Thompson who recently graduated from Tri-Rivers Career Center with her LPN! Sequoyah is planning to continue her education to earn her RN degree. Witnessing her hard work, determination, and dedication has been a privilege and we can't wait to see her walk across the stage next year!

Here are a few thoughts Sequoyah shared with us:

"I woke up one day and told myself the time is now. As a single working mom, I had no idea how I was going to pay for anything, who was going to watch my son for all those long hours, when or how I was going to study, work, be a mom, and take care of home.

My advisor Madison with OMJ has been nothing but helpful...from helping with bills, car payments, uniforms, books, application fees, CPR classes, NCLEX, e-license, anything i asked her for she got it approved for me.

Nobody showed me the way or told me anything...I had to figure it out myself. I'm telling y'all to just get up and do it now!"
