Marion County Council on Aging The Council on Aging provides funding for home and community-based services for Marion County residents age 60 and older, regardless of income.

This funding comes from the Senior Services levy that was first passed by Marion County voters in May of 2006

September is Falls Prevention Awareness Month.

To help reduce the chance of falls, older Ohioans should talk with their doctor about their personal risk factors — and join the statewide 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls campaign by adding daily movement to their routine.

We need your help! Due to an unexpected cancelled food bank order we are not going to be able to have pantry appointments often this month. We are in desperate need of canned veggies and fruit, canned meats, pasta sauces, boxes dinners, toilet paper, boxed milk, soups etc. Your donation will make a difference for a family need.

The last couple days have been ALL about fresh produce! We volunteered at the fairgrounds on Wednesday and not only was able to help bag and serve the produce that was there, but Dustin was gracious enough to let us take some of the leftovers with us to deliver to our 4 senior buildings today (with our added produce from Meijer). Grateful for our volunteers, and the deliveries we were able to complete! Many thanks to Tim Noggle and George for help getting our peaches and tomatoes. Lots of moving parts, but we all partnered together!
