🇺🇸 Meet the faces of the Patriot Pipeline.🇺🇸

This week on Coffee with the Colonel, we’re doing something a little different—This is the Patriot Pipeline Roundtable. 🪖

Hear directly from our Patriot Pipeline recipients about their journey, their goals, and what this opportunity means to them.

This is THE PATRIOT PIPELINE. 🇺🇸

———————————————————————

What is THE PATRIOT PIPELINE?

Alabama students selected through the Patriot Pipeline receive an Army ROTC scholarship covering tuition and fees, plus free room and board from MMI, while pursuing a pathway to commission as a U.S. Army Officer in just two years.

Interested in becoming a Patriot Pipeline nominee? Contact your Alabama U.S. Senator or U.S. Representative or the MMI Army ROTC Department to learn more about eligibility and the nomination process.

Your path to becoming an Army Officer could start here. 🇺🇸🪖

Yesterday, 13 Marion Military Institute cadets officially contracted with Army ROTC.

Only a few months ago, most were still high school students. Many graduated in May, completed Basic Camp over the summer, and arrived at MMI ready to begin the two-year Early Commissioning Program.

During the ceremony, each cadet raised their right hand and took the Oath of Enlistment, committing to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. Their MMI patches were then replaced with Army ROTC patches—the first time they were authorized to wear them. That change marked their transition to contracted Army ROTC cadets and the beginning of an accelerated journey toward commissioning.

Congratulations to these cadets on taking this important step toward becoming Army officers. The expectations are high, the responsibility is real, and their journey is officially underway.

Three MMI Army ROTC Cadets gained firsthand experience leading Soldiers this summer through Cadet Troop Leader Training!

Our Cadets served with operational Army units in South Korea, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and at Fort Benning. Working alongside platoon leaders and Soldiers, they experienced the daily responsibilities of Army officers while strengthening their leadership, confidence, and understanding of the profession.

These opportunities are an important step in preparing our Cadets to lead from the front as future Army officers. We are proud of how they represented MMI and the Tiger Battalion across the Army! 🇺🇸🪖

Coffee with the Colonel is Back!

We’re kicking off a new year of Coffee with the Colonel by catching up with a familiar face—this time in a new role.

LTC Hollingsworth sits down with our Cadet Battalion Commander to talk about his journey at MMI, stepping into the responsibility of leading the battalion, and what he hopes to accomplish with his fellow cadets this year.

It’s a great look at how quickly cadets at MMI can go from learning how to lead to actually leading their peers.

Grab a cup and check out the first Coffee with the Colonel of the year!

Think you have what it takes to lead?
At MMI Army ROTC, your path to becoming an Army officer can start now.

First Actions on Lab!

Lost? Not anymore.

Cadets hit their first official lab of the year, learning the basics of land navigation and getting hands-on practice finding their way from point to point.

It’s an early start on skills they’ll need in the woods at Fort Knox—and another step toward becoming Army officers.

The training starts now. The goal is to be ready when it counts.

The sun wasn’t up yet, but MMI Army ROTC was already moving.

Our cadets kicked off the new year with their first PT session—putting in the work, building the team, and taking another step toward becoming Army Officers.

If you’re a high school student looking for a challenge, a place to lead, and a path to commission as an Army Officer in just two years, MMI might be what you’re looking for.

From Cadets to Second Lieutenants. 🇺🇸

Yesterday, two Marion Military Institute Army ROTC cadets raised their right hands, took the Oath of Office, and officially joined the ranks of the United States Army Officer Corps.

After two years of hard work, sacrifice, and leadership development at MMI, the gold bars are finally on.

But commissioning isn’t the finish line—it’s the starting line.

From this day forward, Soldiers will look to them for leadership, decisions, and direction. The rank is given, but the trust and respect that come with it must be earned every day.

Congratulations, Second Lieutenants! We are incredibly proud of you. Now go earn those gold bars every single day. 🇺🇸🫡
