Sowing Seeds of Hope

Sowing Seeds of Hope Sowing Seeds of Hope promotes holistic, collaborative community development in the Alabama Black Belt.

We work to improve health, housing, and the resources available to families, which include education, employment assistance, and concrete support. Motivated by God’s love for all people and Christ’s command to care for the vulnerable, Sowing Seeds of Hope exists to promote positive, sustainable community development that benefits the residents of Perry County, Alabama. We minister to our neighbors

by providing spiritual guidance, nourishment, healthcare, and transportation. We promote decent, affordable housing for all, advocating for fair treatment and eliminating the constraints that contribute to inadequate housing. We work in partnership with our community to improve education and work readiness, promote social and physical infrastructures, and provide tourism, recreation, and business opportunities in the Black Belt. Sowing Seeds of Hope brings people together to build families, homes, communities, and hope, using all available resources to offer a hand up, not just a handout.
