๐ŸŽ‰ Did you hear? Mayor Larry Gill officially turned just 32 years old this past weekend! But here in Marion, we're not quite ready to end the celebration!

Although his birthday was July 18, we're still sending our very best wishes to a mayor who continues to make history as Mississippi's youngest mayor while leading our town with vision, energy, and a genuine heart for serving others. He may be young, but he "gets it DONE!"

Thank you, Mayor Gill, for your dedication to our community and for all you do to help Marion continue to grow and thrive. We hope this new year brings you abundant blessings, good health, and continued success.

From all of us in Marion... Happy Birthday, Mayor Larry Gill! ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽ‰

A strong community begins with strong families, and strong families are often built on the love, guidance, and example of dedicated fathers.

Today, as we celebrate Father's Day, we honor the dads, grandfathers, mentors, coaches, and father figures who invest their time, wisdom, and hearts into the next generation. Their influence reaches far beyond their own homes and helps shape the future of our community.

The beautiful promise found in today's scripture reminds us of the greatest example of fatherhood:

๐Ÿ“– "I will be to you a Father, and you will be to Me sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty." โ€” 2 Corinthians 6:18

May this Father's Day be filled with gratitude, cherished memories, and time spent with those who matter most.

Comment with a special thank you to your dad or father figure to let him know just how much he means to you!

Happy Father's Day from the Town of Marion!

๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ–คโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›Today, we join communities across America in recognizing Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality for all.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when news of emancipation finally reached enslaved African Americans in Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It serves as an important reminder of our nation's history and the progress made through unity, perseverance, and hope.

As we reflect on this day, may we continue working together to build a stronger, more welcoming community for future generations.

Happy Juneteenth from the Town of Marion.
