Happy World Food Day! 🌽

Every person in every community deserves access to good food and basic necessities. Our UWNCO Annual Community Campaign funds local nonprofit organizations working to connect families and individuals with the fresh food, warm meals, and daily essentials they need.

There's always something going on at Allen Eiry Center! Billiards, yoga, chair volleyball, live music, wood carving, classes, discussions, workshops - they're making it all happen for Tiffin and Seneca County residents 50 and older.

We are happy to continue our longstanding partnership with Allen Eiry with a UWNCO Community Impact Sustaining Grant for the 2026-2027 funding cycle, made possible through donations to our annual Community Campaign.

Our UWNCO Community Hub Coordinator at Bucyrus City Schools, Ms. Holloway, is making community connections while building a toolkit of Hub resources and services to help support students, staff, and families. Amy met recently with Victoria Caldwell to talk about the Crawford County Mentors program, and enjoyed lunch at the Cafe at The Pickwick Place while meeting with Tonya and Natalie from the Crawford County Adult Probation and Juvenile Probation offices to discuss student barriers to success. It's Purple Thursday! 💜

Domestic violence impacts every corner of our region, but no one has to heal or find safety alone: We believe you, we support you, and we stand with you. 💜

We are grateful for all of the local organizations who are on the front lines providing crucial resources, shelter, and advocacy for victims and survivors every day, including our funded community impact partners - First Step, Turning Point, Marion Victim Assistance Program, Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio - LASCO, and Patchworks House. 💜

Social Security provides an important safety net, but is often not enough to cover the basic expenses faced by most seniors.

In our 5-county region of Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Seneca, and Wyandot, 10,824 households headed by seniors age 65+ are living as ALICE, with an income above the poverty level, but not high enough to meet the the cost of living. These ALICE seniors are your coworkers, neighbors, and friends.

School's out but the Clubhouse is open!

Marion City Schools students who don't have school this Friday are welcome at The Boys & Girls Club of Marion County Oak Street Clubhouse for a day of fun, learning, and connection. Register your student by calling 740-387-3462.

Join us at our Oak Street Clubhouse for a day of fun, learning and connection—with pumpkins, a visit from Cooper & Co Balloons, and lunch and snack provided by Marion City Schools! 🎃🎈

🍩 We’ll also have donuts provided by Tim Hortons! Thank you for helping us start the day with something sweet.

United Way of North Central Ohio is happy to help fund programming at YMCA of Bucyrus-Tiffin, including the Weekend Food program at Tiffin YMCA, which sends weekend meals home with food insecure students in Tiffin City Schools, and Bucyrus YMCA's 4th Grade Swim program, which teaches Bucyrus City Schools students water safety and lifesaving skills.

It was a little damp but loads of fun at last month's Whirlpool Marion Employee Steer Roast! Our team joined the festivities for all three shifts, selling raffle tickets in support of Whirlpool's annual UWNCO Workplace Campaign (and enjoying the food, music, and games!).

Thank you to everyone at Whirlpool for the hospitality and impact advocacy - we'll see you next week when the campaign wraps up at the Big Chili Cookoff!
