Thank you for standing with us at the Heart of Ohio Homeless Shelter through the support of the Health Care Fund. Every day, we meet neighbors from across our community who are walking through some of the hardest seasons of their lives. They are parents doing their best for their children, individuals working to rebuild, and families seeking stability and a fresh start. They are part of our shared community family, and they deserve dignity, safety, and people who refuse to give up on them.

Your partnership through this fund helps us offer more than shelter. It helps us offer hope. It reminds people that they matter, that their story still has purpose, and that this community believes in their future. When compassion moves people to action, burdens get lighter. When generosity meets need, families find their footing again. And when we come together for our homeless neighbors, we build a stronger, kinder community where everyone has a chance to begin again.

Now Hiring: Part Time Resident Specialist (Weekend Position + Additional Hours as Needed)

Heart of Ohio Homeless Shelter is seeking a dependable and mission driven Part Time Resident Specialist to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the safety, stability, and well being of individuals experiencing homelessness.

Position: Part Time Resident Specialist Schedule:
Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday), with additional hours assigned as needed.

Compensation: Discussed during the interview process.

Primary Responsibilities: • Monitor resident activities and maintain a safe environment • Conduct resident intakes in accordance with admission criteria • Complete accurate and timely documentation of shift activities • Ensure resident compliance with agency policies and procedures • Maintain safe, sanitary, and orderly facility conditions • Report special conditions, events, or emergencies to the Program Manager • Work collaboratively with the Case Manager as directed • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and special events as required • Communicate effectively with community organizations when necessary • Answer telephones and distribute messages appropriately • Assist with meal preparation • Ensure completion of daily resident chore lists • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager or Executive Director

Qualified candidates should demonstrate professionalism, reliability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to serving individuals in need.
