Congratulations to Councilman Brian Cowgill and Councilwoman Erika Devine. Prior to tonight's regular meeting, Councilman Cowgill was voted in as the Council President for 2026. Councilwoman Devine was voted in as the Vice-President.

I have absolutely enjoyed serving as President the last two years and am extremely proud of the what the Council has accomplished with Mayor Morrell. I was happy to pass on the gavel and step back a little to focus on my campaign to represent Marion in a bigger way as your next State Senator.

This evening the City Council recognized Nani's Playroom under the Community Spotlight and Aisha Richard under the City Employee Spotlight.

Representing Nani's Playroom was the owner, Jessica Brodt. It is a wonderful new asset to Marion that provides a safe, clean, and fun indoor space for young children to play. It is located at 1206 N Baldwin Ave (formerly Boutique 125).

Aisha Richard is the Deputy Clerk for Marion and was recognized because of her exemplary hard work. She stepped up to the plate and keep the Clerk's office running smoothly while our City Clerk was out dealing with some health issues this year.

Here is the agenda for our December 16th meeting.
