What a wonderful day at our Crittenden County Extension Babysitting Day Camp! πΆπ©ΉβοΈ
This collaborative effort between our Family & Consumer Sciences and 4-H Youth Development Agents provided youth with valuable skills and knowledge to become confident, responsible babysitters.
A special thank you to the Crittenden County Dispatch for teaching participants about emergencies and the proper way to call 911. We also appreciate Arykia Winters from Family Practice Clinic and Lilah from the Crittenden County High School HOSA Chapter for sharing their expertise on first aid and emergency care.
Throughout the day, campers learned what makes a great babysitter, child development and ages and stages, home and kitchen safety, food and nutrition, and even put their skills to work by preparing a nutritious lunch. They also explored the business side of babysitting, including professionalism and responsibility.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day such a success! A big thank you to yhe Lions Club for the use of their building to provide wonderful day camps such as this.
We are proud of these young people for investing in skills that will serve them, their families, and our community for years to come. ππ
