A few additional updates...
The Yard Waste Drop-off site at 195 35th Street is open until 4:15 p.m. today if you have twigs/branches you want to dispose of.
If you have larger amounts of debris and no way to haul it, please contact the Public Works Department on Monday by calling 319-377-6367.
Our Parks & Rec team is out assessing trails and parks and cleaning up debris.
We are aware that several portable restrooms were blown over during the storm. We’re working with our vendor to get those cleaned and back in service as quickly as possible.
And as always, if you see a hazard, or someone is in danger - call 9-1-1. You can also report less urgent matters by calling the Marion Police Department's non-emergency line at 319-377-1511.
We hope you weathered this evening’s storm with minimal impacts. Crews are responding to several power outages in the area caused by the storm.
If you see downed power lines, particularly those that are arching or starting a fire, STAY AWAY, do not touch and call 9-1-1.
Our electricity partners are mobilizing to address the outages.
