🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from the Marion Police Department! 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate 250 years of the American spirit, built on courage, sacrifice, freedom, and an unwavering belief that tomorrow can be better than today.

Since 1839, the Marion Police Department has proudly stood beside this community through moments of triumph, tragedy, celebration, and challenge. Every day, our officers, dispatchers, civilian staff, and our public safety partners answer the call with one purpose: to protect and serve the people of Marion.

Freedom has never been free. We honor the generations of servicemen and women, first responders, and everyday Americans whose sacrifices have made this nation what it is today. Their legacy reminds us that liberty is worth protecting and that service to others is one of the greatest callings there is.

As fireworks fill the sky tonight, we hope you’ll take a moment to reflect on the blessings we often take for granted: our families, our neighbors, our community, and the freedoms that unite us all.

From all of us at the Marion Police Department, thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving this incredible city.

May God continue to bless Marion, the great State of Illinois, and the United States of America.
