THREE ARRESTED FOLLOWING DRIVE-BY SHOOTING

MARION, S.C. - On August 18, 2026, officers with the Marion Police Department responded to the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive in reference to a reported drive-by shooting that had just occurred.
Upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot graze wound. The victim was transported to MUSC Health Marion Medical Center for treatment and has since been released.
During the investigation, officers obtained video footage of the incident from a nearby Ring security camera. Using information developed during the investigation, officers located the suspected vehicle a short distance away at a convenience store.
Tyrese Malik Suggs, 27; Jquan Killings, 19; and a 17-year-old juvenile were detained. Following further investigation, all three were arrested in connection with the shooting.

Due to the defendant's age, identifying information concerning the juvenile is not being released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
