I’m honored to announce that I have received the endorsement of the Indiana Professional Firefighters PAC.

From serving as a police officer to standing alongside our brave men and women on the frontlines as a local elected official and now as a State Senator, I have always had the utmost respect for our first responders. Their commitment to protecting our communities does not go unnoticed, and I am truly humbled to have their support as we continue working to keep our neighborhoods safe and strong.

Congratulations to Jason Hale Jr. on an outstanding accomplishment in his fire service journey. Jason completed his probationary period on February 24, 2026, and was officially sworn in on March 2, 2026, by Deputy Fire Chief Eddie Overmyer.

Also marks a special moment for our department as we proudly welcome another second generation firefighter (Father-Retired Fire Captain Jason Hale Sr.) to the MFD family.

Please join us in Congratulating Jason Hale Jr.! 🚒👏

Marion Firefighters Local 676 Donates Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) Pack to Marion Fire Department🚒🔥

2/25/2026 Marion Firefighters Local 676 proudly announces the donation of a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) pack to the Marion Fire Department, further strengthening firefighter safety and emergency response capabilities in the community.
The newly donated RIT pack is specialized equipment designed to support the rapid rescue of firefighters who become lost, trapped, or injured during structural firefighting operations. Equipped with an emergency air supply and rescue tools, the pack enables rescuers to quickly provide breathable air and facilitate safe extrication in high-risk environments.
“Firefighter safety is our top priority,” said Vice President Adam Trexler of Marion Firefighters Local 676. “By providing this RIT pack, we are investing directly in the protection of our brothers on the fireground and ensuring they have the resources needed to respond to worst-case scenarios.”
The donation reflects Local 676’s ongoing commitment to supporting the operational readiness and wellbeing of members serving the City of Marion. The Marion Fire Department will place the RIT pack into frontline service, enhancing its rapid intervention capabilities at structure fires and other high-hazard incidents.🚒🔥
