🔥 Retired Marion Firefighters – Special Invitation 🔥

We would like to invite all of our retired firefighters to come tour our brand new Station 1 on Wednesday, September 9th at 3:00 PM.

For those retirees who are on Facebook, please help spread the word to any fellow retirees who may not have Facebook so we can make sure everyone gets the invitation.

This station is a milestone in the history of our department, and we would love for those who helped build the foundation of our department to be among the first to see the new home of Station 1.

Come see the new facility, reminisce with old friends, and share in this exciting moment for our department. Your years of service and dedication helped pave the way for where we are today, and we would be honored to have you join us.

🚒 WHAT IS THE 2026 FIRE TRUCK PULL CHALLENGE? 🚒

Think of the ultimate tug-of-war but with a fully loaded FIRE TRUCK! 🔥💪

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, teams will take over Ballard Field in Marion to see who has the strength, teamwork, and determination to pull a fire truck 50 feet!

💪 HOW IT WORKS
Teams can have up to 10 people and must raise or donate at least $500 per team to compete.

Think your team has what it takes? There are several ways to WIN:

⏱️ Fastest Team Pull: Race against the clock to pull the truck 50 feet. Each team gets three attempts, and the fastest time wins!

⚖️ Lowest Combined Weight Pull: Start with just one or two teammates and keep adding people until you can pull the truck 50 feet. The team that gets it done with the lowest combined weight wins!

But this challenge is about much more than bragging rights.

Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Indiana – Grant County, supporting athletes with intellectual disabilities as they train and compete in Olympic-type sports at the local and state levels.

⚾🥎 This weekend marks the 54th Annual Fireman’s Little League 12U All-Star Baseball & Softball Tournament!

While we weren’t able to fill every team slot this year, the brackets are set and we’re ready for an exciting weekend of great competition.

Join the Marion Fire Department for three days of baseball, softball, family fun, and community spirit. We can’t wait to see everyone at the ballpark!
