ICES provides:
- Free referrals to licensed family child care providers and centers within Mariposa county, regardless of income. We offer parents the free information needed to evaluate available child care options and choose a quality child care program that will best fit their needs.
- Subsidized assistance with the cost of your child care, based on a sliding scale according to your need, fam
ily size, and gross monthly income. Parents must have an ongoing need for child care such as working, attending school or a training program, or looking for work. In two parent households, both parents must have a need.
- Public TrustLine is a registry for unlicensed providers. When an unlicensed provider has registered with Trustline it means that they have passed a fingerprint check of records at the California Department of Justice. This means they have no disqualifying criminal convictions or substantiated child abuse reports in California.
- The Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP) - Assistance and financial help with the process of becoming a licensed family child care provider in the county of Mariposa. This program is free, regardless of your income.
- Free workshops and training in delivering quality care and effectively managing a small business in your home. ICES also provides workshops and training on child development topics such as: guidance and discipline, nutrition and meal preparation, growth and development, working with infants/toddlers, and art, craft, and play activities to enhance development.
- Reimbursement for Health and Safety Courses. Eligible providers may receive partial reimbursement towards completed Health and Safety Training classes or course work.
