This is a friendly reminder about door-to-door solicitors! It's very important to ask for their permit issued by the village before hiring anyone. There are a lot of scams out there, so let's all be extra careful. Staying safe and informed is key! Always double-check that permit! You can also reach out to the Village Hall at 618-295-2351 to find out if any solicitors have been issued a permit. We will be happy to provide you this information.

While Marissa City residents can utilize 1 dump pass to Waste Management per month, there are rules, and those rules are as follows:

🔸️ You must be in and out of the dump by 2pm Monday through Friday
🔸️ Truck load ONLY! NO TRAILER LOADS
🔸️ The name on the pass MUST be present

Anybody who does not follow the rules will be turned away by Waste Management.

ATTN RESIDENTS OF MARISSA:

You may see folks out spraying weeds along the curbs, in streets, and on city sidewalks. This is being done in response to complaints of grass and weeds growing in the streets. Please try to keep pets and children away from sprayed areas until dry.
