The Marissa Giving Garden will be closed this Tuesday for food handout and deliveries. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work behind the scenes to best serve our community. The Marissa Giving Garden will be closed on December 23rd and December 30th so our volunteers can enjoy the holidays with their families.

Our Trivia Night was a wonderful success — thank you to everyone who came out, donated, and supported our mission! Originally, the funds raised were planned for a new awning, but we’ve decided to direct them toward helping families in our community who are struggling, especially those with children and receiving SNAP/EBT benefits.

If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly or contact the Marissa Giving Garden Food Pantry page. We’re here to help. 💚

Together, we’re growing kindness and feeding hope.

Message from The Marissa Giving Garden:

Beginning tomorrow November 1, many will be without SNAP/EBT benefits. This will affect many in our community, and we are ready to help!

As a reminder, we serve Marissa School District and our pantry is open on Tuesdays from 8:30-10AM. If you or anyone you know is in need, please message this page directly and we will make sure you are provided with food.

If you are able to donate, please consider doing so—we are able to accept both perishable and non-perishable items. We are especially in need of the following:
🥔holiday dinner items
🍽️ dinner kits (hamburger helper, tuna helper)
🥫canned tuna and canned chicken
🍜ramen noodles

We would also appreciate monetary donations as well, cash or check (made payable to Marissa Giving Garden) can be brought up to First National Bank of Waterloo. Thank you for your continued support! ❤️

Giving Garden pop up at the food pantry right now! Completely full tables as of 3:20pm on 6/18. Lots of great looking produce—zucchini, lettuce, cantaloupe, green beans, and more! Two full tables! Come on up! We just got two HUGE deliveries back to back and need to make room.
