ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE – US 224

If you traveled from Huntington to I-69 or Markle this morning, you've likely noticed that US 224 is now CLOSED.

To help residents and commuters, here is a suggested detour route to travel between Markle and Huntington:

Suggested Detour (Markle to Huntington):
➡️ Turn right off US 224 West onto Novae Parkway/500 E
➡️ Head north on 500 E to 300 N
➡️ Turn left onto 300 N and continue west all the way into Huntington

Traveling from Huntington to Markle:
Follow the same route in reverse

According to INDOT, the work is expected to be completed by Friday, so we're hopeful the closure will be short-lived.

Please allow extra travel time, drive carefully, and be mindful of increased traffic along the detour route.
