Huge win for all volunteer firefighters in New York State.

FASNY applauds the New York State Legislature for passing the volunteer firefighter tax credit bill in both houses.

This important legislation provides meaningful relief to the 80,000 volunteer firefighters across New York and helps offset rising costs such as fuel, training, and equipment.
This is a major step forward in supporting volunteer firefighters and strengthening the future of New York’s volunteer fire service as part of FASNY’s 14 Point Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment and Retention Plan.

The bill is now on its way to Kathy Hochul’s desk. We encourage her to sign it into law.

A house fire that broke out Friday evening on Fox Hill Road displaced a family, injured one firefighter and prompted a three-alarm response that drew mutual aid from more than a dozen agencies. …

The volunteers of the Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 were happy to assist via mutual aid at this incident the other day. It was on Fox Hill Road in the Plattekill fire district and it was on the night of Friday, June 5. We provided our tanker (38-30) and a crew of firefighters. FYI- for the next 2-3 weeks, the Town of Marlboro Water Department will be flushing hydrants.

Last night at our weekly training, firefighters spilt into 2 groups. Group 1 went to a donated acquired structure that we have for now (before it gets demo’d by contractors soon). We practiced roof ventilation operations on a pitched roof. Group 2 did some pump operations training using a hydrant as the water source. Great job by all.

Pictures and videos from yesterday’s annual town Memorial Day parade. On this Memorial Day Monday, be sure to remember our military service hero’s that we have lost. They gave the ultimate sacrifice so we can live free!

! Members this past Monday night spent time detailing up our apparatus fleet. This is in preparation for the upcoming parade. As a reminder to all; the annual Town Memorial Day Parade is Sunday, May 24th, 2026 in MILTON starting at 12:30pm. We hope to see you and your family there to help us bring memory and honor to all military personnel who have died in the line of duty.

We were happy to be there today at the annual Marlboro Middle School Health Fair. Thanks for the invite ! We hope that the middle schoolers learned a little bit from us today about staying safe, about what we do and about what THEY can do if they decide to join us as a volunteer when they turn 16 years old!
