I am so excited to announce that one of our MCBSA Alumni/Eagle Scouts who has distinguished himself and our membership through his leadership in creating a new Scouting Affinity Group at a regional college. Kevin Krippa Jr. (better by his FSR Camp Staff Name "Speedbump") was proud to announce that the newly-created "York College of Pennsylvania Scouting Association" was formally approved by the college powers that be just last evening by an overwhelming majority. Kevin will be serving as the association's founding vice president.
The association, consisting primarily of alumni from the BSA and other nationally-known youth organizations is open to all genders and students, regardless of their prior affiliation (or lack thereof) with these groups. The National Eagle Scout & Alumni Associations of the Monmouth Council, BSA was honored to have assisted, if even in a very small way, with this continued strengthening of the ties of brotherhood in Scouting throughout our nation.
Congratulations, Speedbump! Thank you for honoring all of us by personifying the finest traditions of the Eagle Scouts of America!
On my honor, I will do my best to make my training an example,
and make my rank and influence strongly count
for better scouting and for better citizenship,
in my troop, in my community, and in my contact with other people,
regardless of race, color, or creed.
TO THIS, I PLEDGE MY SACRED HONOR.
We encourage our fellow alumni and Eagles in colleges across America to follow Kevin's example. Ask us for help getting started!
