City of Marlborough (Official) Official page of the City of Marlborough, Massachusetts. The City of Marlborough is a quintessential New England community rich in history and tradition.

We are located near the intersection of Routes 495, 290, 20 and the Massachusetts Turnpike. Our central location and ease of access has helped propel Marlborough into becoming a hub of commerce and civic engagement in the Metro West region. In addition to housing the Solomon Pond Mall, Marlborough is also home to companies such as Raytheon, Dow Chemical Company, Boston Scientific, The TJX Companie

s, and Quest Diagnostics. We are also home to the New England Sports Center, a six ice rink complex that has hosted everything from collegiate hockey tournaments and championships to competitive figure skating. Our city is governed by a Mayor-Council form of government. The Mayor and Councilors are elected to concurrent two year terms. The current Mayor is Arthur G. Vigeant. The City Council has bi-monthly meetings at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 2nd floor, City Hall on Monday evenings. Meetings are open to the public.

Marlborough residents, Early Voting for the September 1, 2026, State Primary begins tomorrow!

Early Voting will be available for one week prior to the State Primary at Marlborough City Hall, 140 Main Street.

Early Voting Hours:
Saturday, August 22: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday, August 23: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Monday, August 24: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Tuesday, August 25: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

☀️ BEAT THE HEAT WAVE! EXTENDED SPLASH PAD HOURS! ☀️

We know it's hot out there, so we are giving you more time to cool down and have fun! We are extending the hours at the Ghiloni & Stevens Splash Pad so everyone can get some extra relief from the heat.

🗓️ When: Wednesday, July 1st through Sunday, July 5th
⏰ New Extended Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (5pm-7pm)
💦 That’s 2 ADDITIONAL HOURS to splash every day! (5pm-7pm)

Juneteenth is a holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021 when it was signed into legislation establishing Juneteenth National Independence Day and Massachusetts first established the official recognition of Juneteenth Independence Day in 2007 as noted in Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 6, §15BBBBB (2007).

On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, Union troops arrived in Galveston and announced that enslaved African Americans in Texas were free. This date became known as Juneteenth, combining the words June and nineteenth.

Why Juneteenth Matters
• It marks a significant moment in the struggle for freedom and civil rights in the United States.
• It recognizes the resilience, achievements, and contributions of African Americans.
• It serves as a time to reflect on the history of slavery and the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice.
