Marlin Police Department Investigates Early Morning Incident

Marlin, Texas — On May 21, 2026, at approximately 4:45 a.m., the Marlin Police Department responded to a reported disturbance in the 1200 block of Fushie Street. Officers from the Marlin Police Department, along with deputies from the Falls County Sheriff’s Office, arrived at the scene to investigate.

Upon arrival, officers located three individuals suffering from stab wounds, one of whom also sustained a gunshot wound. All three victims were transported to local hospitals and are currently reported to be in stable condition.

A suspect was also located at the scene with a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Texas Rangers have been notified and are assisting with the ongoing investigation. Authorities continue to gather information, and no additional details are available at this time.

The Marlin Police Department and the Falls County Sherifs Office asks the community to keep all those affected by this incident in their thoughts.

On April 19, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Marlin Police Department received a report regarding a missing 10-year-old child in the 700 block of Watson.

Upon receipt of the report, officers of the Marlin Police Department, in coordination with the Marlin Fire Department, the Marlin Volunteer Fire Department, and numerous members of the community, initiated an immediate and comprehensive search of the area.

At approximately 5:27 p.m., the child was located safe and unharmed and was subsequently returned to his residence.

The Marlin Police Department wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to all responding agencies and community members whose prompt assistance and coordinated efforts contributed to the safe recovery of the child.

Roadways across the area remain hazardous due to icy conditions. The route from Marlin to Waco continues to be particularly dangerous, especially on bridges and overpasses, which are reported to be extremely icy and slick.
drivers are strongly urged to use extreme caution if travel is necessary.
Motorists should reduce speed, increase following distances, and avoid sudden stops or turns. If possible, delay travel until road conditions have improved further.
