The mission of Pocahontas County Senior Citizens, Inc. (PCSC), is to alleviate senior hunger and social isolation and promote life, health, honor, and dignity for the aging and disabled of Pocahontas County by providing community focal points and reaching out to the homebound seniors. PCSC purposes to partner with community members and organizations for the benefit of all aging and disabled citizens to develop meaningful programs and services responsive to their diverse needs and interest.

We are actively searching for an Assistant Cook for our Green Bank location. This is a full-time position that comes with paid Annual Leave, Paid Sick Leave, ten (10) paid Holidays, and you do not work evenings or weekends. We are open Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm and serve lunch 12pm-1pm. Job duties include but are not limited to lifting above 40lb, dishes, food preparation, stepping in place of Head Cook when needed, cleaning, paperwork, and training for water treatment.
We are also in need of Nonemergency Medical Drivers. This is a part-time position, and hours will vary depending on medical runs. This position comes with paid Personal Leave and ten (10) paid Holidays. All medical runs will be provided using our company fleet, fuel card for runs will be provided (used for company fleet ONLY).
We are also hiring Direct Care Workers to provide personal care for seniors of Pocahontas County. This is a part-time position, and hours will vary depending on the demand for workers. This position comes with paid Personal Leave and ten (10) paid Holidays. Job duties include but are not limited to assisting clients with bathing, dressing, transferring, restroom, meal preparation, and some lighthouse cleaning. You will travel client to client with paid travel time and mileage reimbursement.
The appropriate training will be provided by the PCSC RN, and all costs will be covered by PCSC.
