We are so excited to share the newest addition to Roger L. Trusler Memorial Park, our brand new pirate ship playground! 🏴‍☠️

The ship is officially in place and ready for little adventurers to climb aboard, explore, slide, and let their imaginations set sail! 🌊⚓️

This beautiful addition is another step toward making our park a fun, welcoming place where families can gather and children can make memories for years to come. ❤️

📢 The Town of Marlinton is Accepting Applications for the Planning Commission! 📢

The Town of Marlinton is currently seeking community-minded individuals who reside within city limits & are interested in serving on the Marlinton Planning Commission. If you care about the future of our town and would like to help guide its growth and development, we encourage you to apply!

The Planning Commission plays an important role in shaping the future of Marlinton by:
🏘️ Reviewing and making recommendations on land use and development.
📋 Assisting with long-range planning and community improvement projects.
🌳 Helping preserve the character of our community while encouraging responsible growth.
🚶 Providing recommendations on parks, trails, infrastructure, sidewalks, public spaces, and other community enhancements.
🤝 Advising Town Council on planning-related matters and helping develop a vision for Marlinton’s future.

This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact and help ensure Marlinton remains a wonderful place to live, work, and visit.

Applications are now being accepted, and we ask that all applications be submitted by the next regular Town Council meeting.

We encourage anyone with an interest in the future of our community to apply. Together, we can help shape the next chapter of Marlinton!

The Town of Marlinton would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the dedication of Roger L. Trusler Memorial Park today. The ceremony was a wonderful success, and we are incredibly grateful to all of the donors, volunteers, businesses, and community members whose generosity and hard work made this beautiful park possible.

Roger devoted countless hours to serving our community. His dedication, kindness, and love for Marlinton left a lasting impact on so many people. It is our hope that this park serves as a lasting reminder of his legacy, a place where families gather, children laugh, friendships grow, and our community comes together, just as Roger always believed it should. We encourage everyone to visit, spend time with family and friends, and help us keep it a place we can all be proud of.

If you notice any damage, vandalism, or suspicious activity at the park, please report it to the Town of Marlinton immediately. The park is monitored by security cameras, and any reported incidents will be reviewed to help identify those responsible. Working together, we can ensure this special place remains beautiful for everyone.

Thank you again to every donor and supporter who helped turn this vision into a reality. Your generosity has left a lasting gift for our community.
