Basketball returns to Spencer Park! The new multi-use surface includes a half-court for basketball and three full bags courts! REMINDER OF PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING TONIGHT

CITY OF MAROA, IL WOOD STREET BICYCLE & PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS

The City of Maroa will be conducting a public informational meeting concerning proposed bicycle & pedestrian improvements along Wood Street from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Maroa City Hall located at 120 S Locust St, Maroa, IL 61756.

The proposed project consists of the reconfiguration of the existing four lane section into a 12’ two-way left turn lane with an 11’ through lane and 5’ bike lane on each side. The project would also replace existing sidewalks and close current sidewalk gaps from US 51 to Monroe Street.

Persons interested in viewing exhibits of the proposed improvements are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting. Representatives of the City will be present to answer questions and receive public input on the project. Verbatim comments will not be recorded. Maroa City Hall is ADA accessible. Any persons needing further arrangements for participation can contact Matt Foster, Project Manager, at 217-619-7382 or [email protected].
