Update -- As of 8:20am on Friday, August 21, we have reached our max participants so we will no longer be accepting sign-ups. If you wish to sign up to be on a waitlist, please contact us.

The Maroa Fire Department will host Max Fire Training Fire for an all day training on Saturday, September 19th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (It might run longer if participants wish to continue training). Space is limited to 30 participants so please only sign up if you know you will be able to attend the majority of the day. The Maroa Fire Department will be covering all costs of the training and lunch will be provided.

If you sign up and are unable to attend, please let us know ASAP so we can try and fill your spot.

Macon County in central Illinois...

* Until 245 PM CDT.

* At 154 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Mount Pulaski to near Niantic to near
Stonington, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

Tonight, we officially said goodbye to Engine 20! Palisade Fire Department in Colorado took possession of the 2010 Crimson Fire truck! Engine 20 served the community well for over 15 years and will soon be replaced with a new vehicle for the fire department!
