Hello! My name is Ava Kyer, and I have recently earned my LLMSW after graduating from Northern Michigan University. I will be providing outpatient therapeutic services for individuals of all ages and backgrounds through Teaching Family Homes. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with varying abilities. I have mainly centered around youth and have experience providing therapeutic services to children as young as 5-years old. My work will be grounded mainly within CBT practices, while pulling from other social work theories and frameworks. My expertise surrounds depression, anxiety, and support for autism spectrum disorders in children. It is important to me to provide trauma-informed care for all individuals, ensuring a safe space for every person I meet. Mental health has always been a passion of mine, as I feel that it is something that should not be ignored at any age. I will work alongside you to make progress towards your goals, while acknowledging that you are the expert in your own life. I look forward to meeting you and becoming a part of your healing journey!
