Answer fear with faith.
Hi friends,
Crossing the comfort gap requires a person to have the courage to face their fears, move well beyond their doubts, and trust that they are indeed capable of more than they realize. Too often, we allow self-doubt to convince us that growth, or greatness is meant for somebody else.
When those thoughts arise, ask yourself a simple question: “Why not me?”
Ponder these questions in your moments of doubt: “Why shouldn’t I be the one to overcome this challenge?” “Why can’t I be the one to grow, succeed, and accomplish what God has placed on my heart?”
Scripture reminds us: “Be strong and brave, do not be afraid nor dismayed. I, the Lord, your God, will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).
Fear and doubt may be present while crossing the comfort gap, but they don’t have to be the things that keep you from moving forward. When we trust in God’s grace, we get to discover something awesome - that we are capable of far more than we imagined.
The next time fear and doubt creep in and convince you to stay comfortable, answer it with faith and continue to move forward.
