We had so much fun with the Bright Star Touring Theatre dinosaur show featuring Dr. Sarah Tops and her assistant Terry at the Dino Academy show today as a very special kickoff for Summer Reading 2026!

⛩️Monday 6/8 - Around the World Passport Scavenger Hunt begins! Kids will once again "travel" to other countries this summer as they complete the YS scavenger hunt and get to try a treat from that country! Scavenger hunts will change on Mondays.
📌Park Storytime! Tuesday 6/9 at 9:30 at the Ohio St. Park.

Have you seen our newest in progress mural?! Designed and painted by our very own Youth Services Staff member Grace Champion, the mural will be complete in the next few weeks. It already looks amazing! Great job Grace, thanks for sharing your talents with the kids and families of Marquette area!

New at PWPL! We recently added Game Kits to our Youth Collection! These curated board and card games are for various ages and abilities, perfect for family game night! Playing games builds coordination, cognitive, and social skills and creates bonding time between friends and families! Come check one out next time you're in-- and let us know if you have a great game suggestion for adding to our growing collection!

We have had a couple more 1000 Books Before Kindergarten finishers! Way to go kids - we are so proud of you!

Did you know that reading and being read to has been associated as an early indicator of academic success? Let the library be your partner as you help prepare your kiddos for school with our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Its a program that is very simple to participate in, goes year-round and is completely free of charge. The program is open to children newborns up until kindergarten.

Next week is our final week of regular programs! While we miss having regular programs, this break allows your Youth Services staff to put the final touches on what will be an amazing Summer Reading program! You are going to love it - We are going prehistoric with DINOSAURS 🦖 this summer!
🕐 Please note the library will close early Friday May 1 at 5pm.
📣We have a couple of cancelled programs - No preschool storytime Tuesday April 28 and no Lego Club Friday May 1
