I am humbled, honored, and excited to share that I have been elected to the Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education.

Thank you to everyone who supported me in this endeavor. Thank you for the well wishes, kind words, and monetary support. Thank you to everyone who helped with meet and greets, canvassing, and putting out yard signs.

Thank you to my fellow candidates for putting yourselves out there in the name of the betterment of our community. Thank you to the election officials and poll workers for making all of this possible.

Special thanks to my team, including my campaign mom-ager and treasurer Michele Darner Thomas, Hailey Kimball-Dexter, and the woman behind the social media and design, Taylor Rovin.

Thank you to my family and friends for their patience and support. And finally, a very special thank you to my boyfriend, John, for supporting me in all my goals, no matter how crazy they seem.

Election Day is upon us! 🗳️🇺🇸

Today I ask for the final time that you vote for me, Cassidy Thomas, for MAPS Board of Education.

Our community is only as prosperous as our schools. As a board member, I would dedicate myself to the betterment of our schools for the benefit of all children who attend them. I am excited, hopeful, and motivated for our public school system.

Voting at the local level is a great way to see tangible change in your community 🏡🏫

🌟ATTN Michiganders: Election Day is coming up! Still need to register or vote?

This weekend (November 2-3), all city and township clerks must be open for at least eight hours for voter registration and in-person absentee voting. At this point, the only way to register to vote in the November 5 General Election is in person at your city or township clerk’s office or satellite office with proof of residency. After you register, you can apply for, complete, and submit an absentee ballot in your clerk’s office. To find the location and hours of your local clerk’s office, you can go to mi.gov/vote and click on “Where are my clerk’s offices.”
