Sille Henrickson was an in-bound RYE student to our Club in 2012-13. The Frosts were among her host families. She has completed her undergraduate and graduate training and is now employed in the pharmaceutical industry. This is her 5th visit back to Marquette. She was accompanied by her boy friend, Emil Kruse.

The Rotary Club of Milwaukee is planning two trips to the Guatemalan Highlands in 2027, and we invite you to join us!

For more than a decade, Rotary has partnered with Mayan communities in Guatemala on nearly 20 projects, including water systems, schools, pedestrian bridges, and hygiene and agrarian training. These trips offer a chance to see the impact of that work firsthand while building relationships with our Guatemalan Rotary partners and local communities.

Trip Dates:

Trip #1: January 9–17, 2027
Trip #2: January 30–February 7, 2027
There are 10 spots available on each trip. The estimated cost is $1,800, excluding airfare, and includes lodging, food, and in-country transportation.
To reserve your spot, submit the registration form and $100 nonrefundable deposit by October 15, 2026.

This week, Berkeley Thompson reported on her Rotary Youth Exchange experience in Taiwan from 2024-2025. The last year, she has been a student at Northern Michigan University where she was also a teaching assistant in Chinese. This coming year, she will study at the University of Michigan with the goal of becoming an attorney and returning to Taiwan.
