🎨☀️ Looking for a fun and creative summer activity for your child? Young Rembrandts Summer Workshops are back with exciting drawing classes featuring dragons, anime, video games, space adventures, fashion, ocean life, and more!

Classes are available at several locations across the West Bank and are designed to help kids build creativity, confidence, and artistic skills while having fun this summer.

It looks like our Blue Jays had a pretty great time at MORP last week! 🪩✨ Everyone looked AMAZING!

We’d like to thank Redd Hartman for being our fantastic DJ and making the night so fun, as well as our teachers for chaperoning and dancing the night away with our Blue Jays! And a special shout out to Mrs. Frisella and Mrs. Miles for all the work that went into making the night so special. 💙

One of our absolute BEST being highlighted makes us so happy! Mrs. Julia is truly an anchor at C.T. Janet and has touched the lives of so many students, families, and teachers over the years. Her love for our children, dedication, and warm heart are part of what makes our Blue Jay family so special. Thank you for loving our babies like your own and for all you do for Janet every single day. We love you, Mrs. Julia! 💙

Julia Lombard is a Pre-K paraprofessional at C.T. Janet Elementary. She has dedicated 20 years to helping young learners grow, explore, and succeed. She also serves as the school’s Child Care Director.

Her favorite part of the job is seeing the “aha” moments when students finally understand a concept and become excited about learning. She believes working with young children is both her passion and calling and loves creating a positive environment where students feel supported and engaged.

She describes the culture at C. T. Janet as a true community where staff members work together, support one another, and always put students first. She also appreciates the school’s supportive leadership and team oriented environment.

Congratulations are in order for our National Junior Beta Club!💙🐦

Last week, we proudly inducted 42 new members into CTJ’s National Junior Beta chapter in recognition of their academic excellence, leadership, integrity, and character. We also celebrated our current members for an incredible year of service that earned our club the National Beta “MVP Gold Award” with an amazing 2,790 service hours completed this school year! 🏆

The evening was also a special sendoff for our 8th grade Beta members as they prepare for high school. We are so proud of the leaders they’ve become and know they’ll continue doing amazing things.

A huge thank you to Ms. Hadeel and Ms. Chiasson, our club sponsors, for helping grow this club and fostering leadership, service, and character throughout our Blue Jay family. 💙

Keep those reading skills growing this summer, Blue Jays! 📚☀️🦖

The Jefferson Parish Library’s “Dig, Discover, Grow!” Summer Reading Challenge kicks off May 30th and runs through July 31st. Students can earn points for reading books, reading for an hour, and attending library programs, plus earn prizes along the way!

Yesterday, our entire campus watched with pride as our 8th graders took flight towards their next adventure! 💙🐦🕊️

As the first class to remain at CTJ from Pre-K until 8th grade, you have a very special place in our hearts. You have grown into remarkable young individuals, and we couldn't be prouder!

We'll miss this group SO much, but we can't wait to hear about the fabulous things you'll accomplish. Remember, you'll always be a part of our Blue Jay family. Fly high and follow your dreams! We will always be here when you’re ready for a visit!
