Warrendale Road south of Northfields is currently still closed. Barricades are in place with road closure signs. We have been notified that several vehicles have driven through or around the barricades in place.
It was closed last evening due to the storms, pulling down high tension, power-lines. The appropriate notifications for repair have been made, but due to the high winds last night causing numerous electrical issues throughout the county the repair is delayed. Please be patient and consider alternate routes until the necessary repairs can be made.

***Road Closure*** Downieville Rd is closed between Seventh Ave and Mars Valencia Rd due to a water leak that has made the road quite hazardous. Expect the road to be closed until the leak is stopped and the road is able to be treated.

❄️🚨 UPDATE!!! ⚠️ Because of forecasted continued frigid temperatures as well as poor secondary road conditions, School District will participate in Remote Learning for the remainder of the week (Wednesday, Jan. 28, through Friday, Jan. 30).

We are making this decision now in order to provide adequate notice to our staff, students and parents/guardians, given the likelihood of additional delays and/or closures due to the predicted cold temperatures as well as the need for additional snow removal on various roadways to provide for safer school bus travel and bus stops.

We are looking to identify this dirt bike and rider from a felony pursuit we had earlier today in the Forsythe Rd / Myoma Rd area. If you recognize this bike (blue with what looks like the number 111 on the front) or the rider, please give us a call at 724-282-1221 and ask for a call from an on-duty officer. The rider was last seen cutting through a field off of Forsythe Rd headed towards the Brookstone Plan. Pursuits endanger the public and our officers, and we will aggressively investigate and prosecute this every single time.

Three Degree Rd is back open! There is now a traffic circle on Three Degree Rd at Milky Way (High School access road). This is our first traffic circle, and judging by all the videos online it seems they can be tricky. Don't be the first one to drive straight across it and destroy your car!

**Traffic Update** During the storms last Monday the traffic signal control boxes for Route 228 at Heritage Creek Dr, and Route 228 at Mars Valencia Rd both got fried. Until the replacement parts come in the traffic signals are stuck in a set cycle, 24 hours a day. The signals are not malfunctioning, they just do not have any input from traffic sensors that normally trigger a cycle change when traffic is not as heavy. If you normally travel along Route 228 during rush hour, you may want to try an alternative route until the new parts are installed.

This cat was found wandering around in the gravel parking lot near the baseball field at the intersection of Davidson Rd and Meredith Rd. The cat is chipped but the chip is not registered. If anyone knows the owners please call 911 and request to speak to an Adams Twp Police Officer.

E-Bike or bicycle? Motorized Pedacycle or Motor Scooter? We have had some questions lately about what types of 2-wheeled conveyances can be legally operated on a public roadway, so we thought it best to clarify what the law says.

BICYCLE: is a pedacycle that is moved soley by human-powered pedals. Bicycle riders under the age of 12 must wear a helmet, and lighting must be used when operating between sunset and sunrise. You do not need a drivers license to operate a bicycle, but you CAN be arrested for DUI on a bicycle.

E-Bike: is a pedacycle with electric assist, which weighs less than 100 pounds, has operable pedals, a motor rated at not more than 750-watts, and is not capable of going fast than 20mph on a level surface when powered by the motor only. E-bike operators do not need to have a driver's license but must be at least 16 years-old and can be arrested for DUI on an e-bike.

Motorized Pedacycle: is a pedacycle with operable pedals and either a gas motor that is less than 1.5 brake horsepower with an automatic transmission, or an electric motor powered by an electric battery; and is designed to travel no more than 25mph. Motorized pedacycle operators must be at least 16 years-old, must have a class c driver's license, and can be arrested for DUI. The motorized pedacycle must also be registered and have vehicle insurance.

Motor Scooter: is a motor-driven cycle with a motor size not to exceed 5 brake horsepower. Motor scooter operators must be at least 16 years-old, must have a valid license (class M if the motor is more than 50cc, class C is the motor is less than 50cc), and can be arrested for DUI. The motor scooter must also be registered and have vehicle insurance.

Electric Scooter: can only be operated on private property, cannot be legally operated on a public roadway.
