City of Marshall Consumer Health Group The Consumer Health Group inspects and permits all establishments and community events serving food.

The Consumer Health Group is responsible for ensuring that residents and visitors of the City of Marshall and Harrison County, Texas, are protected from conditions which are detrimental to health and safety according to the Texas Food Establishment Rules (TFER).

* Responding to health related complaints.

hments that include but are not limited to: Commercial kitchens/food service areas in: restaurants, schools, hospitals, hotels/motels, child care facilities, nursing care facilities, convenience stores, grocery stores, mobile food unites, and any other establishment or community event where food is offered or served to the public.
