🚨🚔🚨**09/06/26 Briefing **🚨🚔🚨

Pope Rd - Deputies served a warrant for Jedidiah Hill. Arrest made.


Bechtold Dr – Caller contacted the Sheriff’s Office about someone in his neighborhood speeding up and down the roadway. Deputies patrolled the area and no one was speeding at the time.


FM 450 – Deputies observed what appeared to be a work crew cutting limbs off of a pine tree located on private property. Deputies spoke with the crew and offered traffic control assistance due to some of the limbs falling into the roadway. The work crew advised that they have another worker that can pull his truck up and slow down traffic.


Whitehurst Drive – Deputies were dispatched to due to an interior motion alarm being set off in the business. Deputies arrived on scene and there were no signs of forced entry and all of the access points were secure.


Blocker Rd.- Complainant reported unknown individuals using a shared easement on her property to access another behind her own. Advice was given and an incident report was generated for future reference


FM 2625– Caller reported her elderly grandmother pressed her emergency button and wasn’t responding to phone calls. A deputy responded and made contact with the grandmother and daughter, who advised she accidentally pressed the wrong button and everything was ok.


Interstate 20- A motorist contacted the Sheriff’s Office due to her seeing a snake in her vehicle while traveling. Deputy searched the car thoroughly... and very cautiously but no snake was located within the vehicle. The driver was advised the vehicle was safe to get back into and continue driving.


FM 134-Dispatch reported receiving a 9-1-1 hang up call and could not get the subject back on the phone. Deputy was dispatched to the residence, who later figured out it was a juvenile who was trying to turn the phone off but went into SOS mode.

Interstate 20-MPD request a welfare check on a male seen near mile marker 617. MPD advised they received a call about a male running out in traffic. Deputy checked the area and was not able to locate the male.

Milton Ln.-Caller reported that an occupied SUV was sitting in the roadway in front of her home. It was running and she did not know who they were. Deputies patrolled the area and did not locate the vehicle.

HWY 80- Deputy observed a vehicle with defective equipment. They then observed the vehicle involved in multiple traffic infractions. Deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. Deputy made contact with the driver who was identified as Volin Nop. While Nop was providing her information Deputy observed an open can of alcoholic beverage behind the passenger seat. Deputy removed Nop from the vehicle and began Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. Nop was ultimately placed under arrest and booked into the Harrison County Jail.

Five Notch Rd.-Caller reported seeing a subject on her property when he had an active criminal trespass warning in place. Deputies responded to the residence, where it was discovered it was not the trespassed subject on the property.


FM 450 -Complainant called about her neighbor's dogs being loose and coming over to her house, not allowing her to leave. Advice was given to the complainant and the animals’ owner.

FM 1997 - Deputy noticed an open door on the side of a local church. Deputies cleared the building and there did not seem to be any suspicious activity.


Interstate 20- Deputy observed a vehicle traveling while displaying expired registration decals. A traffic stop was initiated with the vehicle. The driver was identified as Leonard McCrimmons. While speaking with Leonard, the odor of ma*****na was detected emitting from within the vehicle. While conducting a probable cause search of the vehicle, ma*****na was located along with suspected narcotics. Leonard was placed into custody and transported to Harrison County Main Jail.


Furrh Street – Deputies located Zachary D***s who had an active arrest warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to the Harrison County Jail.


Interstate 20– Deputy provided a courtesy ride to a stranded motorist.

Forest Trail – Deputies were dispatched due to a caller advising that it sounded like their elderly neighbor was yelling for help. Deputies arrived to the neighbor’s residence and met with the occupant. She advised that she was yelling at her dogs and that must have been what the neighbors heard.


Magnolia Rd.- Caller reported that a brown truck stopped in front of her home on the road. She did not know who it was and wanted a deputy in the area. Deputy arrived in the area and did not locate the truck.

Calloway Rd.-Caller reported hearing multiple gun shots and ATVs in the area. Deputy arrived in the area but was unable to locate any ATVs or gunfire.

Spur 156-Deputy was dispatched to check the business after the alarm was triggered. Deputy arrived and did not observe any obvious signs of forced entry. The business appeared secure.

Loop 281 - Deputies provided traffic control for the local fire department while they cleaned the roadway.


FM 9 – Caller reported the front door open and a window busted out on an abandoned house. Caller requested a deputy check the building for squatters, so the building was cleared and no one inside.


Blairs Landing Rd. – Caller reported a male ran away from the area when her car approached. A deputy checked the area but did not locate anyone.


FM 2198 – Deputy responded for an alarm. Everything appeared to be secure.


Bell Meadows Drive – Deputies were connected to a caller wishing to report a suspicious vehicle has been in their area for the last four nights. Deputies gave advised what to do if the vehicle comes back as well as placed their residence on an extra patrol for the next week.


Alpine Road – Deputies assisted Longview PD in searching for an individual that was trying to enter employee’s vehicles at a nearby business. Longview advised Harrison County Dispatch that they located the suspect.


Buchanan Rd.- Caller reported that he heard screaming coming from a residence while delivering a package. Deputy responded to the location and made contact with a resident who advised there was no screaming that was happening at the residence. Deputy checked on the occupants of the residence and observed everybody to be ok.

FM 2199- Caller advised there was a calf out in te roadway. Deputy made contact with the cattle owner.

FM 2208- Deputies located Braxton Cole who ad an active warrant for his arrest. Cole was taken into custody and transported to the Harrison County Jail.

Loop 281-Deputy observed a male on the church grounds with a headlamp on. Deputy made contact with the male who identified. He advised he was hired to exterminate the armadillos on the grounds.

Interstate 20 - Deputy was dispatched in reference to two black cows being near the roadway. The deputy patrolled the area but did not see any cows.


HWY 43- Alarm company reported an active alarm at a local business. Deputies were dispatched to the location. The perimeter was checked and everything appeared to be secured.


Mildred Lee Rd.-Deputies located Dillon Burr who had an active warrant for his arrest. Burr was taken into custody and transported to the Harrison County Jail.


Gum Springs Rd - Caller stated there was a male going around sitting on people’s porches. The Deputy arrived and spoke with the male sitting on a porch. He stated he was trying to see if he left his v**e at the residence the night before. A woman then came out of the residence and informed the male that his v**e was not there. The male then left the area.


Five Notch Rd.- Deputy issued a criminal trespass warning to a subject at the request of the property owner.

HWY 59-Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle for several equipment violations. Upon further investigation it was discovered that driver Lazaro Benitez had a warrant out for his arrest. Lazaro was placed into custody and transported to the Annex Jail.


Mollie Ln.- Deputies responded in reference to an open line on 911. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the homeowner accidentally pocket dialed 911.

HWY 80- Deputy spoke with a caller concerning an aggressive dog in the area. Advice was given.

Interstate 20 – Passerby reported a subject pushing a bike on the interstate. Caller wanted a welfare check conducted on the individual. Deputies checked the area and were unable to locate the subject.


Interstate 20 – Caller reported two dogs sitting near the interstate just west of FM 968. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.


Driskell Bridge Rd. – Caller reported his neighbor had a fire going and burning trash. Contact was made with the neighbors and they were informed of the current burn ban in effect. They advised they were unaware and extinguished the fire.


Berry Ln.- Deputy was dispatched in reference to the caller stating their neighbor was burning things in his yard. Deputy arrived and advised the actor of the active burn ban and he extinguished the fire.


McCauley Road – Caller reported a burn ban violation in the area. Deputy responded and instructed the owner to put it out.


HWY 80– Deputy responded in reference to an older van parked in the middle of the roadway. The driver advised that the van had broken down and a tow truck was on the way. Deputy assisted the driver and pushed the van out of the roadway.


Magnolia Road – Caller reported a vehicle parked in the roadway and no one was around it. Deputy patrolled the area and was unable to locate.


Floyd Evans Rd.– Deputy issued a criminal trespass warning to a subject at the request of the property owner.


Russell Dr –Deputy took a report of a stolen dirt bike.


FM 2879- Caller reported a RV on shoulder partially in roadway. Deputy checked area and didn’t not observe any road blockage.


Interstate 20- Deputies responded in reference to an 18-wheeler broke down in the roadway. Deputies provided traffic control for the truck that had ran out of gas. The truck was filled up and got back on the roadway.


Croft Rd- Caller wanted to check on his brother after not being able to get ahold of him in a month. Made contact and everyone was healthy and told to call his brother back.

Scottsville Crossing Loop – Deputies took a report of a vehicle burglary.


Interstate 20- Caller reported a brown cow by the interstate. A deputy responded but was unable to locate any livestock in the area.


Loop 281- Deputy observed a vehicle traveling approximately nearly twice the posted speed limit during the morning rush hour with heavy traffic. A traffic stop was conducted, where the driver Blake Mosley stated he was late to pick up trash at his house. Blake was taken into custody and booked into the Harrison County Main Jail.


HWY 59- Deputy took a report of an animal bite.


Toliver Rd.- Deputy responded in reference to a welfare check. The complainant advise he had not heard from his friend in a while and was concerned. Deputy made contact with the subject’s brother who advised he would be back shortly. While on scene, the subject arrived back home and advised deputies all was well.

FM 450- Complainant advised their neighbor was shooting a gun and yelling. They believed he may have been intoxicated. Deputy made contact with the neighbor who was not intoxicated nor did he have a fi***rm.

Eddie Butler Rd.- Caller advised someone in the area was burning trash. Deputy checked the area and was unable to locate anyone burning trash.

FM 2208- Caller reported someone in the area was shooting guns. Deputy checked the area and was unable to locate anyone shooting guns.

FM 450 – Caller reported a cow out. The owner was located and the cow was collected without incident.


PR 4441 – Deputy observed goats out by the roadway. The owner was contacted at the above address, and the goats were returned to their pen.

Magnolia Rd -Deputy spoke with a subject concerning a vehicle that was abandoned in the parking lot. Advice was given.


Magnolia Rd.- Deputy issued a criminal trespass warning to a subject at the request of a local business.


Washington Ave -Deputy provided a subject with a courtesy ride from the hospital to their residence.


Ora Asa Johnson Rd.– Deputies were dispatched to this location due to a caller wishing for deputies to check on her sister at her residence. Contact was made with the subject’s sister and she advised that she was okay and assured that she would get in contact with her sister.


Hatley Road – Deputies were connected to a caller wishing for advice on getting his vehicle back from a friend. After further conversation it was determined that it was a civil agreement gone awry. Advice was given.


HWY 154- Deputy came upon a donkey that had escaped its pasture. The donkey was returned to its residence.

Redmon Rd.- An alarm company reported an active alarm for a residence. Deputy arrived and checked that the residence was secure and there were no signs of forced entry.

Please see the following release from the Harrison County Joint Violent Crimes and Narcotics Task Force.

In August of 2026 the following individuals were indicted in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas:
• Ismael Baltazar Nambo
• Josue Manuel Flores
• Rojelio Roman Aviles
• David Antonio Mendez
• Juan Jacob Jimenez Jr
• Migel Angel Gaona
• Melquiades Montano Jr
• Jesse Montano

These charges stem from a long term investigation into the distribution of co***ne and methamphetamine throughout Harrison County and the Eastern District of Texas. Participating in this investigation has been the Joint Harrison County Violent Crime & Narcotics Task Force comprised of the Marshall Police Department and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Bureau of Alcohol To***co, and Fi****ms, and the United States District Attorneys Office.

Through this investigation numerous fi***rms, multiple kilos of co***ne, and methamphetamine were seized from these individuals. The case is ongoing and continued to be worked from numerous angles. The Joint Harrison County Violent Crime & Narcotics Task Force is thankful for its state and federal partners who assist in the relentless pursuit of narcotics distribution not only happening at home in Harrison County but across the Country.

Interstate 20 – Caller reported seeing cattle on the side of the road. Deputy laid eyes on the cattle as they were running back into the wood line.


HWY 154- Deputy responded in reference to a cow out near the roadway. Deputy located the cow and was able to get the cow back into the pasture.


Interstate 20-Deputy assisted a motorist in retrieving gasoline so that they could continue their travels.


Interstate 20-Deputy was dispatched in reference to a caller stating a vehicle was on the overpass but was unable to provide a description. The deputy patrolled the area but did not observe any vehicles parked on the overpass.

HWY 154 - Caller reported a cow out in the road. Deputy was unable to locate the animal.


George Ives Road - Caller reported loud music coming from a residence. Deputy spoke with the subjects and they advised they would turn it down.


PR 1332 - Deputies responded in reference to the complainant observing two male subjects in his front yard. Deputies searched the area but did not locate anyone.


W Houston – A male arrived at the sheriff’s office to turn himself in for his active warrant. He was booked into the jail without incident.

Mount Pleasant Rd. –Deputy spoke with a complainant about the eviction process.


FM 3251- Deputy was dispatched in reference to multiple 911 hangups. Dispatch advised they could hear machinery in the background. Deputy arrived at the location and was able to determine everything was okay and an employee was accidentally calling 911.


Interstate 20- Caller reported cows out near the roadway. Deputy checked the area and was unable to locate.


Community Blvd – Alarm company reported a burglary alarm inside the building. Deputy checked the area and the building was secure.


HWY 43 – Roadside assistance called to report a vehicle with a flat tire in the middle of the road. Deputy arrived and provided traffic control while they changed the tire.


Marshall Leigh Rd. – Deputy spoke to a complainant over the phone about belongings left on his property.

FM 1997 N – Deputies assisted DPS with two vehicle accident.

Mount Pleasant Rd - Deputies responded in reference to a vehicle in the roadway. Upon arrival, the owner of the vehicle was moving the vehicle onto a trailer.

Underwood Rd - Complainant advised that the neighbor was shooting fireworks and fi***rms. Deputy spoke with the homeowner and everything was put away for the night.
