Good Monday to everyone! The invitations to our Veterans have gone out. Now, that does not mean you cannot still turn in a name, we just had to get the bulk of them out as soon as possible, with our deadline being November 13th. ALSO, we will have a section in the bulletin for "In Loving Memory" of any deceased veterans. Submit the name, dates of service, branch of service and a short tribute, with submitted by. One last note, please do not forget to get your gift cards or gift basket! If you need to pick something up for you, let us know, otherwise bring them early on November 20th. The Veterans Appreciation Luncheon planning is underway! We have already had some sign ups - so don't wait, as our seating is limited. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 We are adding a list to honor and remember those who have passed, so please submit those names also. Any questions - please let me know!!

Talarico made a big show yesterday in Marshall. They were swooning over him like he was a prized cow. We must show up! It is up to us. If any one of our members needs a ride to go vote - let me know!

‼️NOTICE: Friday, October 16th is our monthly meeting. 11:30am at the Elks Lodge, 411 E Austin. Our speaker this month will be Marshall Police Chief Cliff Carruth. Our initial plan with lunch fell through, so we had to pivot! We will be serving 🐓🐓chicken pot pie from The Blue Frog, along with a salad.

WHAT YOU MISSED and WHAT IS COMING UP!

October is here and so is a bit cooler weather! Our last meeting of full of information about how our Harrison County K-9 Unit works. Lieutenant William Jones gave a talk about how these teams work, then Lieutenant Jones and K-9 Jumper, along with Deputy Cole Bailey and Zena gave us a demonstration. Our next meeting will be October 16th. We will be serving chicken tortellini, salad and bread. Lunch will be $15/person and you do need to make a reservation for the lunch. Our guest speaker will be announced soon! Early voting starts October 19th! Be sure to get out and vote! We will be at the FireAnt Festival, Saturday, October 10th, be sure to come by and see us. We could still use a couple of volunteers for the afternoon. We will also have some voter guides and some Republican bling!
