Next week I'll begin posting signs on tax sale properties. As of this minute we have 91 properties in Saline County eligible for the 2023 Tax Sale. You can find the list online at www.salinecountymo.org in PDF form as well as an online listing through the Civic Source link.

If you find yourself on the list please keep in mind we do take payments and you have until August 25th to remove the property from the tax sale. As always, if you have questions please call the office.

While I don't collect Sales Tax we tend to get a lot of phone calls asking the sales tax in a particular part of the county. I came across this website that the Department of Revenue has put out. It's a very good and easy way to verify the sales tax for a specific address. There is also an informative breakdown to see where your tax dollars are going.

Jessica Adcock Goodman Saline County Assessor sent out impact notices to Saline County Residents who had an increase in assessed value for the 2023 tax year.

Please contact the Saline County Assessors office for an informal hearing to discuss your assessment.

*This must be done by July 1, 2023.

If at that time you are not satisfied with your values and would like to appear before the Board of Equalization please contact the Saline County Clerks Office 1-660-886-3331.

**All forms must be turned in by 4:30pm on July 7, 2023 to the County Clerks Office for an appointment to be made for the 2023 Board of Equalization.

Just a few reminders regarding the Saline County Tax Sale. We start adding fee's to the parcels on May 1st. To avoid any additional costs payment for the 2021 tax year must be paid by the end of April. Certified mail will go out to all interested parties beginning June 1st. Parcels will be published for three consecutive weeks starting July 5th.

The 2nd round of 2023 Personal Property Assessments were dropped at the post office this morning. If you have not submitted your assessment for this year and you turn it in before May 1st, your Late Assessment Charge will be WAIVED!
