✨ Stories of Impact ✨

For Cameron, the YMCA has become an important part of both his family’s life and the lives of the individuals he supports through his work at Common Good Natural Living.

The Y has given his family a place to stay active together, spend quality time, and grow in a positive environment. Whether it’s shooting hoops, playing soccer, or simply spending time together at the Y, Cameron is setting a great example for his family by showing the importance of healthy habits, staying active, and building connections with others.

At Common Good Natural Living, Cameron and his coworkers also discussed ways they could help the individuals they support become more active and involved in the community. Since then, regular visits to the Y have become something many of them truly look forward to each day. We love seeing the positive impact Cameron and the team at Common Good Natural Living are making by helping others build confidence, friendships, healthy routines, and new connections, and we are grateful the Y gets to be a small part of that impact as well.

Cameron’s story is a great reminder of the impact a welcoming community can have on individuals and families. From encouraging healthy habits at home to helping others build confidence, friendships, and connections through the Y, his story reflects the importance of supporting healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. We are grateful to be part of that story. There truly is no place like this place. 💙

✨ Stories of Impact ✨

For Charles, the YMCA has been a constant part of his life for many years. After moving to Marshall in 2004 to attend Missouri Valley College, he was excited to discover there was a YMCA here in town and has been coming ever since.

Over the years, the Y has become more than just a place to stay active. It’s where Charles has built friendships, found community, and created memories with his family. Whether it’s playing pickleball with his oldest son, bringing his kids to play basketball together, or spending time in the social room playing ping pong, the Y has become a place his whole family enjoys.

Charles also shared how much the connections he’s made here mean to him. Being away from family can be difficult at times, but the welcoming environment and friendships he’s found at the Y, especially through pickleball, have helped make this place feel like home.

Stories like Charles’ remind us that the Y is about so much more than programs or workouts. It’s about connection, community, and having a place that feels like family. There really is no place like this place. 💙
