Public Comment CDBG-DR Commercial Revitalization - Courthouse

The Town aims to submit a first-round CDBG-CDR application to support the revitalization of its primary commercial district following damages from Tropical Storm Helene. The scope of the project is the repair and restoration of the historic Madison County Courthouse. The project aims to renovate the courthouse into a multi-use cultural center, office space, and community/event venue that would serve as an anchor institution supporting long-term disaster recovery, economic revitalization, and community resilience. The Town will seek the full grant amount ($10,000,000), subject to adjustment.

The Town will solicit community input and stakeholder feedback through an open public comment period. The public comment period will begin on June 22, 2026, and will end on July 6, 2026. UPDATE: System Pressure Advisory has been lifted as of 2:30pm on 3-27-2026.

The water consumers of the Town of Marshall located on Sams Rd., Frisby Rd and Redmon Rd. in Madison County are experiencing periods of low pressure and outages in the distribution system due to maintenance and/or repair of the water line system. Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increase the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.
Therefore, when the water service is restored, consumers are advised to boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water.
Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
Water customers are strongly urged to conserve water whenever possible. This advisory will remain in effect until further written notification is issued.
Boiling water concentrates any levels of nitrates that may be present in the water. Infants below the age of six months and pregnant women should use an alternate water supply (e.g., bottled water) whenever possible.
