Drive-Up Window for holds pick-up available at the Marshall Library on Saturdays from 9 am to noon. Digital library materials are available through OverDrive/Libby, Hoopla, Kanopy, CreativeBug, and more. Some digital services are available only for Lyon County residents. The Marshall-Lyon County Library is comprised of three libraries in Southwestern Minnesota. We have locations in Marshall, Balat

on, and Cottonwood. We are also part of the Plum Creek Regional Library System, a federated regional public library system spanning 9 SWMN counties, which participates in the Minnesota Reciprocal Borrowing Compact. MLCL collaborates with the Minneota Public Library and the Tracy Public Library to provide library services and share resources throughout Lyon County, MN. Library cards are free for almost all Minnesota residents. Your library card gives you access to books, movies, and music. Local residents can also check out puzzles, games, toys, activity kits, cake pans, video games, and more. Core Values

Want to get even more involved in Summer Reading this year? Join us behind the desk! The Marshall-Lyon County Library is currently hiring for one Customer Care position. Applications are due Friday, June 19th by 4 PM, and the position will start the week of July 6th.

Customer Care works directly with visitors to the Marshall Library: answering questions, checking out materials, and helping folks have a successful library experience! The successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, a strong desire to help people, robust technology skills and a general understanding of public library operations.

Position: Customer Care (part-time)
Pay: $22.02/hour
Hours: 16 hours a week (includes evenings and Saturday shifts)
Position starts: Week of July 6
Application deadline: Friday, June 19th by 4:00 pm

Reduce waste by using the Tool Lending Library!
Need a tool for a weekend project?
Adult Lyon County residents who have had a valid library card at least one month are eligible to check out kitchen equipment, hand tools, craft tools, and more from the Marshall Library.
Have gently used tools you no longer want or need? Donate them to the Tool Lending Library!
