☀️ Beat the heat and stay safe!
With extreme heat on the horizon, B-Crew took advantage of our last cool day to knock out some vehicle extrication training! 💪🚒 We love tearing cars apart for practice, but we would much rather avoid having to do it in real life.
While our crews stay ready for anything, we need your help to keep our community safe on the road. Remember these life-saving rules before you turn the key:
-Buckle up every single time. Front-seat seat belts cut your risk of fatal injury by 45% to 50%. Airbags are designed to work with seat belts, not replace them. Without a belt, deploying airbags can cause severe injuries.
-Never drive impaired. Alcohol and drugs drastically slow your reaction times. They blur your judgment when you need it most. Always plan ahead with a designated driver or a rideshare service.
-Sleep before you drive. Driving sleep-deprived is just as dangerous as driving drunk. Staying awake for 18 to 20 hours straight impairs your reflexes to the exact same level as a 0.05% to 0.08% Blood Alcohol Concentration. Missing just 1 to 2 hours of sleep nearly doubles your crash risk.
