Perhaps some of you have seen the article in the Marshalltown Times Republican concerning damage done to the rifle range at the Marshall County Izaak Walton League. In response to these things happening at the range, the club has formed a committee to study and find ways to possibly resolve the issue. This is to inform you that if you use the range, be aware that changes are coming. You can stay up to date by reading the monthly newsletter and paying attention to emails you may receive from us. Don't be caught off guard. We will do whatever we can to keep you informed.
It would also be a great help if some of you could step up and help is to make the rifle range a greater and safer experience for all. If you would like to help out, you could respond to this post in the comments or comment messenger. Thank you!

Are you aware of all the cool things the Marshall County Izaak Walton League offers its members? There are such things as hiking, fishing, rifle range, sporting clay shoots, a handicap accessible bow range, an area to shoot clay pigeons, Christmas tree sales, clubhouse rentals and just the beauty of nature. While we encourage you to take advantage of what the club has to offer, it takes lots of cooperation and leadership to continue.providing these opportunities. We are in need of members that would be willing to serve on the board of directors.board members' duties include overseeing activities on thee grounds and watching over the financial needs.Here is a grwat.opportunity to take a great thing and make it better! We will be sponsoring a spring sporting clay shoot this Sunday, May 4 on the club grounds at 2601 Smith Av, Marshalltown.. Cost will be $40 for 100 targets in 10 stations. Shooters 16 and under can shoot one round for $10 when accompanied by a paid adult.
Registration begins at 8:30 AM and will close at 1:00 PM. Ammunition will NOT be available for sale on site. For more information, contact Mark Dolash at 6417516219.

Sporting clay bird shoot is this Sunday September 29th from 8:30 to 1:30. $40.00 per round of 100 birds. $10.00 for age 16 and under with one paid adult.

The Marshall County Izaak Walton League will be hosting a sporting clay bird shoot on Sunday May 5th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The cost will be $40.00 for a round of 10 stations at 10 birds per station. People age 16 and under can shoot for $10.00 per round with paid adult. Come out and enjoy the fun and fellowship.

Do any of you use pine cones for decorating or crafting? We have an extraordinary number of them on the grounds this year! If you would like any of them, you should come out and pick up what you want. We will most likely be ready to mow in a week or so, so you may want to get them before then...

There is nothing to do this Saturday for you so you may as well come and shoot some sporting clay targets! The Izaak Walton League will be hosting a 5 station sporting clay shoot on Saturday, February 3. The cost is $20 for 50 targets. Kids 16 and under can shoot 1 round for $5 with a paid adult. Registration begins at 9:30 am and goes until 1:00 pm. Food will be provided at the bonfire on site. Get the rusty gun out and come try your skills! Should be fun..

Ruth Dolash memorial/Iowa River Hospice benefit sporting clay bird shoot will be this Sunday October 1st at your local Izaak Walton League. 100 targets for $40.00. People 16 years of age and under with an adult will be $10.00. Shooting hours will be 9:00 to 2:00. Food will be served by Smokin G's BBQ. All proceeds will go to benefit Iowa River Hospice. Come out and have some fun while supporting Ruths favorite charity.
