Thank you to everyone who donated food and monetary contributions for the Fill the Squad Food Drive today at the Marshalltown Hy-Vee.

Total weight of donated food items was 300 lbs. with $669.00 in cash donations that were provided to the Marshalltown Emergency Food Box.

A special thanks to Marshalltown HyVee for hosting, VFW Auxiliary Post #839, and Emergency Food Box for allowing the Sheriff’s Office to help with this event.

Please join us in welcoming our newest deputy, Ben Thomas, to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office!

Deputy Thomas comes to us from the State Center Police Department, where he served part-time as a certified officer. He was officially sworn in as a deputy last Friday and began his field training on Sunday.

We're excited to have Deputy Thomas join our team and look forward to the dedication and service he will bring to our community!

Every year Elim Lutheran Church of Marshalltown visits the jail to spread some Christmas joy. They bring juice, cookies, and sing Christmas carols with the inmates. We appreciate them taking their time to spend the evening with us.
