Don't forget that tonight we are having a BBQ at the west end hangers in KMIW to review the EAA Oshkosh AirVenture event! Show up at 6:30 or earlier, bring something to throw on the grill, a cool refreshment, and your lawn chair.

Our next chapter meeting will once again be at Ray Robinson's shop in Fernald on Saturday, March 13th at 1:00pm. Hopefully we had as good of a turnout as we did last month!

We will be having a socially distanced meeting in Ray Robinson's ginormous heated shop on Saturday at 1:00pm. Ray's shop is in Fernald, Iowa. Bring your lawn chair. It's the only metalworking shop on the only hard surface street in this cute little town with a population of 75 or so?
Topics of conversation will most likely include cold weather, snow, ice, and most importantly - an aviation related scholarship we are working on.

Welcome to 2021! The Chapter 675 leadership team wishes you a happy new year and hopes that everybody will be able to start returning to a more normal aviation minded lifestyle sometime this year. We are hoping to be transitioning back to monthly face-to-face meetings ourselves in a more consistent manner by mid year as well.

On a separate note, we have transitioned our Chapter Webpage over to the site hosted by the national EAA organization. You will find the last 4 years of our historical chapter newsletters created by our intrepid newsletter editor on this site, as well a list of aviation specific tools available to our chapter members. https://chapters.eaa.org/eaa675

I've been handed a note from the Newsletter Editor at the desk around the corner that I'd like to share with Friends and Members of EAA 675 -

Tentatively scheduled for our next meeting Thursday, December 12,2019, at 7:00 P.M. is Steve Valbrecht, the airport manager, to discuss the future of the Marshalltown Municipal Airport. Many improvements are planned and Steve will share how those will affect our operations and use in the future. We will also discuss the Chapter 675 Event schedule for 2020 which the planning committee put together on the 7th of December. The tentative schedule is attached to this newsletter. There are a lot of fun things planned but additional input is welcome. For those who care to, we will gather at Taco Johns at 6 pm before the meeting for our pre-meeting chat ‘n’ chew. Hope to see everyone there!

UPDATE: The flight breakfast scheduled for September 21, 2019 has been postponed due to expected inclement weather. No new date has been established yet, but will be communicated if/when possible.

EAA Chapter 675 would like to bring to attention to the pilots in our area the 6th Annual Marshalltown Municipal Airport Open House. Here's to smooth skies on September 21,2019 . Breakfast starts at 7:00 A.M. and goes to 11:00 A.M.
