Binford House

Binford House The Binford House, owned and operated by the Marshalltown Federation of Women's Clubs, is available for small group rentals, parties, and celebrations.

Binford House was built in 1874 by Thaddeus Binford, a young attorney from Ohio. The house is meticulously preserved as an exquisite example of Victorian Italianate architecture. The Binford House was given to the Marshalltown Federation of Women’s Clubs by Jessie Binford, the daughter of Thaddeus and Angelica Binford in 1930. Binford House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in

1984. Renowned for warm hospitality and delicious home-cooked food, Binford House is a great location for everything from a wedding reception to a brunch, tea party or dinner. Fifteen foot ceilings with ornate chandeliers grace four adjoining rooms that hold up to one hundred people for receptions or fifty people for sit-down dining.

Seats available!! Join us for the kick off to the 2026 Binford Passport dinner series this Saturday, February 7, doors open at 6:00 and our 5-course dinner service begins at 7:00. Passports will be available for purchase- or just dine with us as a walk-in for $125 per person. Bring your own wine to enjoy with the meal. A Valentine bonus- we will have Grinnell performing artist Riya on hand, playing the Binford piano and sharing her vocal blues stylings with us! Reserve a spot by calling or texting 641-691-5205.
